Recognizing the need for women's voices to be heard on issues of the day, geekdom, and popular culture, On Wednesdays will provide a creative and dynamic place for those of the female persuasion to speak  their minds on a number of subjects--whatever energizes and motivates them. In a world that has seen  threats of violence against women who have dared to participate in the "male" world of geekdom, OWnet  will provide a safe space for those who identify as women to speak out without having to prove themselves as fans.
