Well this time of year can glaze the eyes and deafen the ears with all the sights and sounds of shopping as well as give you an ache in the pit of your stomach when seeing the prices for entertainment products. That's why we are providing a bit of online relief with free and cheap avenues of distraction.
First, the webcomic Damn Heroes is always free and has a nice amount of strips in the archive so you can spend an hour just clicking through and having a jolly old Santa like chuckle. In keeping with what seems to be a tradition here these last few weeks, we wanted to show off some artwork from one of our upcoming books. In this case we have two of the upcoming covers for the new Signed books. Signed C: the missing, issue 2, is presently being lettered and will be ready for everyone to get their hands on very soon. And issue 3 has just finished being inked and is ready for colors. Of course if you haven't picked up issue 1 yet, there is still plenty of time to do so before the holiday. A signed copy of Signed and a t-shirt to go with it would make a great gift too! Check out our store for those items and more Wayward Raven books and shirts (sorry for the shameless pitch, our accountants are standing over us with their calculators and long rulers. Hey, ouch! Quit that!).

Work on issue three of The Ascendant has begun! Yes, the Duke of Hell is gearing up to make his third appearance with Wayward Raven. As usual, we just can't contain ourselves and must show off some of the new artwork. Before we give you a quick peek, we have an important announcement to make. The next issue of The Ascendant has a brand new artist! With much fanfare, please join us in welcoming Eric Herr as the new artist (pencils and inks) on The Ascendant. Eric is a NYC based artist who we met at the 2013 New York Comic Con. His art immediately impressed us and we are incredibly excited to turn the Ascendant's creative reins over to him. As you can see below, he has already begun composing some mind-blowing panels. If you would like to see more of Eric's art or find out more about him, check out his Deviantart page here.
