Submissions for We Suck At Comics, V3 Are Open!
That’s right, we are open for business!
If you have been waiting to get into Volume Three, then now is your chance! We are looking for Comics, Prose/Short Stories and Artwork for our highly popular anthology, We Suck At Comics!
Our mission for We Suck At Comics is to promote the hell out of other indie comic creators, both new and seasoned ones. The creative arts are such a tough business and we fully believe in doing whatever we can to help others be successful. As we often say, a high tide raises all boats. We truly believe in giving back and sharing whatever success we have with others in our industry.
This comic anthology’s theme is Errant Adventures. If you know anything about us, you know we don’t take ourselves too seriously, so we want you to help us interpret that theme however you may. We’re here to break the panels, break down barriers, be experimental or just plain different! We aren’t too strict about it, but we will ask you to justify your reasoning for inclusion.
This is a paid gig. If your piece is selected, you will receive compensation for it!
Errant Adventures: What We're Looking For
We like unique stuff. So if your work breaks the panels, breaks down barriers, is experimental or is just plain different, that may fit this volume perfectly! That doesn’t mean you can’t send us superheroes stuff. We like that too, but ideally give us a twist of some kind. We also like seeing stuff from newcomers to comics. Oftentimes those are some of the most interesting pieces!
Imagine that there are no rules, because there probably aren’t (well, we might have a few rules ‘cause ya need something to break). We named the company Wayward Raven because we aren’t followers, we like to make our own path. We detest regulations and authority, so help us break out!
Comics:
Completed short-form sequential art works that are no longer than 12 pages. We don’t have a preference between color and black and white, so long as it serves the story.
Artwork:
You can submit up to 5 Completed art pieces. Full color, monochrome, grayscale or black and white are all acceptable. Just make sure they’re your own characters or intellectual property. We love fan art, but we can’t use it in this book.
Prose/Short Stories:
Completed prose/stories which are no longer than 2500 words.
Still want in?
Of course you do! Then check out the full guidelines and other details on the submissions page here.
