Electric City Nerds talks Heroes Con

So I'm standing on the line at Bojangles (a guilty pleasure whenever I'm in the south) in the Heroes Con Food Court, and I get to talking to some of the others on line, as I am a social nerd. Turns out I was on the line with some podcasters, Electric City Nerds, to be exact. Beau and Matt were very cool to talk to while I waited for my fried chicken deliciousness. They were nice enough to come by our booth afterwards and gave us a quick interview.

We're at 37:11

More Hartford Comic Con 2014 Press Coverage

So we must have made an impression with the Hartford Comic Con 2014 press, because we got a lot of reviews and interviews rolling in. See if you can spot us (or the artist of the Horsemen #2 cover, Matt Fletcher) at Strange Kids Club Photo Round up

Mark even did a Q & A with Strange Kids Club, answering the question of What makes you a strange kid? Personally, I say it's his middle name. Cindy is a strange name for man.

Juanos Addiction also had a chat with Mark. Here's what he had to say in Weird Tales from Cons Gone By

Geek Cast Live Talk Coffee, Comics and Whiskey

We talk about Signed on Geek Cast Live

On Thursday night Mark and Alex got the opportunity to hang out with the guys on Geek Cast Live and had an absolute blast! Lots of laughs and good discussion on topics like #LovecraftChicken, #OdinForceCoffee, our books, whiskey, what the double splash page in Signed #1 does to us and even our upcoming Kickstarter and convention schedule. Plus, Alex digs himself in deep doo-doo with his wife (well, at least if she hears the interview. Please forward the link to her). The whole thing clocks in at just over an hour, perfect for your commute home.

If you haven't listened to the guys at Geek Cast Live, we highly recommend it. Very funny and knowledgeable folks. We promise the conversation is wide, varied and lots of fun. Heck, you might even learn something! You can find the whole interview here.

Q&A with Mark Frankel by That Comic Blog

Check out this recent interview by That Comic Blog with our very own Mark C. Frankel.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I’m always observing, listening and reading. It is important to feed your brain or it atrophies. Much of my material comes from my observations of how the world works. Not everything comes from personal experience, but you never know when an idea will strike. I have a pretty active imagination too, ever since I was a little kid I’ve played scenarios out in my mind. I guess it was only natural to start writing them down. I’m also lucky that the job that pays the bills right now involves lots of human interaction. I believe you need to jump in the water to understand the ocean, not just sit in the sand and watch the tides role in.

Update (11/25/2016): Link to the original interview is no longer available

Enjoy!
