Kickstarter Projects We Are Backing

Hey, we put our money where our mouth is!

We tell everyone that as an indie comics publisher, we like to back/buy indie too. As you all know, we are running as Kickstarter right now (what?!?!?! You don’t know? Then you better back Napoleon's Starship on Kickstarter), so we thought we would share some of the cool campaigns we have backed this week too!

So without further ado, here are some of the awesome Kickstarter campaigns we thought were pretty cool and supported this week.

War Lion

Better hurray on this one, less than 31 hours left as of writing! Created by Onrie Kompan, illustrated by Dexter Wee, colored by Steve Canon and Lettered by Joel Savaadra, War Lion looks to be a fun romp!

This dystopian martial arts epic tells the tale of an old warrior returning from exile with his daughter to settle the score with the vicious tyrant that destroyed their lives and controls their city with an iron fist.

What’s Left Behind

Atlanta college student Alex Brown and his younger brother Robert struggle to come to grips with the murder of their father. Alex tries to leave the tragedy behind him while Robert tries to quell the rage his father’s murder has left him with. Meanwhile starving artist and Alex’s longtime girlfriend Sam struggles to prove the value of her craft  to both herself and her parents. While the wise cracking Ricky, an old friend of Sam’s, searches for belonging in a world he's not sure he fits into.

When fate brings the four of them together at a remote cabin party they make a bizarre discovery: An otherworldly device that grants them all dangerous superpowers…

The Exorcist Club #1-2

This one’s a little spice…not for those under 18! Meet Seo-Hyeon, an unemployed college student in search of her late father's mysterious past and a job, as she meets Sandra, leader of Puritan City's local secretive Exorcist Club.

After their attempt to exorcise a sorority spirit fails, Seo-Hyeon and Sandra are left with questions and a new team member, Brittany! Now, while the girls look for answers, their job brings them to a local Baseball stadium to exorcise an old school player's ghost before he's seen on TV! Will the girls stop him in time?

Banked

And last, but not least, Banked.

Created by Justin Gray, Banked is about a reformed convict who is blackmailed into a lethal choice by his parole officer. He must navigate the criminal underworld he despises to secure his family’s future, risking the fragile new life he’s built on the outside.

Hope you check out some of these awesome Kickstarter projects! We will have more recommendations for you next week!
