Blast off! It is time to launch the Napoleon's Starship Kickstarter!!!

Houston, we have lift off!

We can’t tell you how excited we are to launch the Napoleon’s Starship Kickstarter! As of Tuesday, 7/23 at 10:00 AM, we are live!

Time is of the essence!

The most critical thing for a successful Kickstarter is timing. The faster a start we get, the more likely it is we will hit our target. So we are asking everyone who possibly can to please pledge early. Heck, if you can go there right now, we would be incredibly grateful!

Sure, I’ll check it out! But what is it?

Napoleon’s Starship is a sci-fi alternative history about Napoleon conquering space and the brave revolutionary who attempts to stop him! It is written and illustrated by Katherine Blakeney.

The main character, Gavroche is a young artist turned revolutionary when she see the damage Napoleon’s looting and pillaging is doing to societies both on earth and across the galaxy. Intent on stopping the emperor, she sneaks aboard his starship, armed with just a knife and her wits…

You can read more about the story of Napoleon's Starship on our comics page.

Great, what do I get if I pledge? Show me the goodies!

For starters, we are printing this out in hardcover. We think it adds a nice touch of class to an already gorgeous story. Katherine is an amazing artist and we feel this will be a nice compliment to her tale.

Besides the book itself, we have a ton of fun items like stickers, pins and bookmarks. Even better though is the opportunity to get some of Katherine’s original art! She has prepared a limited amount of original pieces that can only be found here!

Framed and signed too!

You can see more of the rewards on the Napoleon's Starship Kickstarter and hear all about Katherine’s inspiration for creating Napoleon’s Starship. Did we mention she is an archaeologist currently working in Egypt?

About Katherine

Katherine Blakeney is an artist, writer, animator, archaeologist and pilot. Her stop motion animated short films have screened at numerous international film festivals and won various awards. Her paintings have been exhibited at Cork Gallery in Lincoln Center. Every summer she works in ancient Egyptian tombs, uncovering the secrets of Ancient Egyptian craftsmanship. It was there where she first saw the negative impact the loss and destruction of the antiquities has done.

Although Katherine has been an artist for many years, Napoleon's Starship is Katherine's first published graphic novel.

Don’t delay!

Since we only have 30 days to make our goal, time really is of the essence. We hope you will consider supporting Napoleon’s Starship and making Katherine’s dream come true! Thank you!
