Returning to East Coast Comicon this weekend!
We are pumped up! This will be our fourth year at East Coast Comicon (5th if you count when the convention was in Asbury Park, NJ) and we are really looking forward to coming back. Naturally, we hope you'll stop in and say hello.
If you haven't picked up the completed graphic novel Signed yet, we will have copies there to share and autograph (bet you thought we'd say that we would sign Signed!). Our children's book Percy is also new to Amazon and can be bought directly from us.
You'll be able to find us at booth 431 in the vendor's area. Naturally, Alex will be doing fun commissions and you will be able to pick up a ton of other wonderful artwork, comic strips and comic books from us.
What is a sirrush?
Truthfully? Even Percy doesn't know. A sirrush is a mythical creature from ancient Babylon — lion, eagle, and dragon rolled into one. And Percy, our hero, is one. He just doesn't know it yet.
The quest
So Percy sets off across many lands to find others like himself, meeting strange new characters (not, it turns out, sirrushes) along the way. It's a classic adventure about being a little different — and finding your people anyway.
Great for young readers (and their grown-ups)
Big, detailed art and a gentle heart make this a natural for bedtime, storytime, and classroom read-alouds. The friendly lesson at the center? Different is fine. Actually, it's better. Dream up the gift: this picture book for a 6-to-10-year-old who loves dragons that aren't quite dragons.
